In her newest novel and my favorite to date, Mimi has given us the perfect blend of descriptive dialogue.
Her description of Key West are rich and evocative. Those of New York City run the gamut of bright lights to dark alleys. It makes for an immersive and unforgettable experience.
The dialogue is equally incredible and creates strong emotions. It paints vivid pictures adding layers of meaning and creates intrigue with the conversations leaving a lasting impact. I was fully invested in all the various characters and their respective narratives.

I’ve read all Mimi’s books. She’s a very gifted, talented author. When she sent me an advanced copy of this book, I couldn’t wait to read it. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The chemistry between Jared and Jenna is electric. Also, the pain they’re both experiencing is palpable. I almost expected the pages to bleed in certain places. As the story of these two broken characters evolve you root for them and also shed a few tears. It’s an emotional roller coaster I’m sure you will enjoy as much as I did. Pennylane
